This book is a tribute to the Belgian film director Claude François. His film Silencieuses, about the Statues of Brussels, was transformed into a book. Starting the text directly on the cover of the book symbolises the walk Claude François took to discover these statues as if to recapture the naive feeling he had when he discovered them on his arrival from the former Belgian Congo, in Stanleyville, now Kisangani, where he was born. The typeface was designed by Frédéric Jaman.
